Update- We are sorry to announce that the Perry Outreach Program on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Oregon Health and Science University has been cancelled. We hope to reschedule in the future.
We are pleased to announce a Perry Outreach Program in Portland, OR which will take place at Oregon Health and Science University on May 7, 2022. Institutional COVID-19 protocols will be observed at the time of the program. Per OHSU policy, participants must be vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to participate and masks required.
We will be holding our POP event for high school students in the Portland area. Students, who gender-identify as female or nonbinary, in grades 10 and up interested in exploring careers in orthopaedics or engineering are encouraged to apply. In addition to six hands-on “mock surgical” exercises, participants will hear lectures from local women surgeons and engineers.
We are accepting online applications for this event until the application deadline of April 7, 2022.
