POP –Detroit, MI @ Henry Ford Hospital

We are pleased to announce a Perry Outreach Program in Detroit, MI, which will take place at Henry Ford Hospital on November 23, 2019.

We will be holding our POP event for high school students in the Detroit area. Women in grades 10 and up interested in exploring careers in orthopaedics or engineering are encouraged to apply. In addition to six hands-on “mock surgical” exercises, participants will hear lectures from local women surgeons and engineers.

We are accepting online applications for this event until the application deadline of October 23, 2019.

MSOP – Jackson, MS @ University of Mississippi Medical Center

We are pleased to announce a Medical Student Outreach Program on December 6, 2019 which will take place at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

We will be holding our MSOP event for current medical students in the Jackson area. Women in first and second year of medical school (MS-1 and MS-2) who are undecided about specialty choice or those definitely interested in exploring careers in orthopaedics are encouraged to apply. In addition to lectures from local women surgeons, participants will also perform two hands-on skills module. The purpose of this free, one-evening program is connect female medical students with an interest in orthopaedics to like-minded peers and professional mentors.

We are accepting online registrations for this event until the registration deadline of November 7, 2019.
