Student Online Application

Application Review & Selection Process

  • Some programs are high school students only; others are high school and underclassmen engineering students (freshmen & sophomores); and some are also open to medical students (MS-I and MS-II). Please check the details for individual programs to see if they’re open for your education level.
  • Applicants must gender-identify as female.
  • Online applications close 60-90 days before program date. Please note due date for applications for each program.
  • A committee of engineer and medical doctor faculty will review all applications, and students will be admitted based on the quality of their essays.
  • Preference will be given to senior-level students who cannot reapply for the program. Underclassmen who are not accepted are encouraged to reapply for the program in the same location the following year.
  • Students who have already participated in a Perry Outreach Program will not be admitted so as to give as many students an experience as possible.
  • All applicants will be notified of acceptance within 30 days of program date. Please make sure your contact information is correct in your application. If you are accepted and you entered the incorrect contact information, we will select the next person on the wait list to take your place.
  • Applicants must download and complete this waiver form as part of the application process:  Waiver_2011
